The challenges and climate change in emerging economies

Few months before the Court gave order to lay off the road all vehicles 15 years old since there was much carbon emission.This is the case in India.All factories and industries are shifted from developed countries to emerging markets and the waste gradually effect the river and also the ground water.The Pollution Control Board is there ,but still the CO2 emission rate is not upto the mark.

Come to forest side.Tropical forest is declining and hence there is flood every where.Simply because the population is rising .The village side has different stories to tell and in urban areas,the smog that covers the sky crappers penetrating the down is alarming.

To what extent one can control.We are just playing with nature.Below I paste two photographs that speak itself.It is from China.

In US they can speak on Cap and trade ,but US tops the list in Carbon emission.Even the sea ,snow all are getting effected and we do not have fresh air to breathe.There is no season now since seasons have changed their seasonal behaviour.

I start in a small way.I depend on my kitchen garden and now I prefer Tube rail instead of Car.But is it practicable?Frequent landslides have changed the hills and their environment.

Significance of 2nd October to me

Today is my younger child’s birth day which coincides birthday of one great person.I feel the relevance of posting this blog after watching “photo of father of nation”photo while opening the net in Google home page.May be that my post will provoke many to comment on my line of thought.I am posting this blog as a tribute to the fatherless child who rose to the Chair of Prime Minister of India,and he was the 3rd prime minister.I do not find much on him over the years in Government or media on his birth day which is 2nd october.He was a common man like us and his biography speaks all about him,how he used to go to school crossing river and so on.Now come to what is most publisized item of the day.How many Indians in 21st century can afford to read abroad,and do legal practice abroad?I have no doubt that very very few may have the privilege,and how many of them are from so called “royal back ground” and later switched to have “loyal back ground”.How many Indians have command over a foreign language,and wrote something which is treated as a classical book besides doing politics?In childhood days I remember “Jai Jawan,Jai Kishan”.Such a big and wide publicity was given when any great leader passed away may be due to unfortunate reasons by becoming victim of fanatics.But how many of us know the tragedy or mystery behind the death of a ruling Prime Minsiter in foreign country?How many of our ministers resign now a days because of a rail accident and accept the moral responsibility.He did it during Nehru’s time.Who first started the “green revolution and supported ,boosted the morale of soldiers?He came and passed away in a mysterious death in erstwhile USSR and the death mystery was never made public.

Have we seen any celebration on his birth day?

We are shameless Indians and I feel pity for the Government.

I was on a official tour to Gangtok in Sikkim,India.I did not find anything pleasant there except the hills,roads with many dangerous curves and at the evening chiiling cold after a rain.It was summer.Every one used to speak on natural beauties of Gangtok which I did not find one.Then I checked up.Sea level height is also less than that of Darjeeling another hill town.

Then came a sunday.I was determined to go for a visit since every one was speaking on ice and flowers just around 50/60 KM away.I went in the morning in a heavy vehicle since I was given to understand that light vehicles skid on snow.

The temperature gradually changed.And a stage came ,the road was full of snow.Earlier I had cold,but my cold was gone.It was snow and snow all the way and the whole road just half a kilometer far from Tsomo Lake was so full of snow and there was incessant snow fall that we could not proceed that day and again on another holiday we started.

People speak about Nathula Pass( the Chinese border)and Yumtham and its rare wild flowers in snow.Though I could not go to that point ,here I present some of the photographs taken on way to Tsomo lake.On the way return ,I could just take a still photo of the lake.

People have heard about Srinagar,Sangrila Pass,Kulu Manali and places in Himachal.But a weekend visit to this place is worth visiting.Just stay for night at Gangtok to move on to your choice place.Barely two hours drive and it is snow all around even in summer.

Hotels are reasonable and ranges from one\’s choice to 300 INR to 5000 INR and the route is from Siliguri (West Bengal)connected by Air (Bagdogra Airport)to around 3 hours journey by Car.

I am editing the photos ,but what ever I have in crude form in my mobile Cam as well as Canon Still and Video,I am presenting below for friends to see and comment.

It is good season to go there in summer preferably in April and also in December when the cold reaches its highest limit.It is good for a traveller and also for a trekker or adventurist.

The Great Bihar or Vihar

The 1st blog was on Pataliputra to Vihar.Bihar abounds in Vihars.This is just one of the many in Nalanda which was also called Nal-Da.The place and surrounding areas are significant in many ways.History is the proof.Talk of our epics,talk of religion,right from Hinduism to Islam.All know Buddhism,and Buddha,or Mahaveer’s long stay in these areas.This was the great place of learning and it was the largest residential university of the world which was patronised by many people right from Guptas to HarshaVardhan and others.Traditionally people refer it to BC period.The pattern of hostel,lecture hall,the great library and the subjects taught like theology to medicine,its large number of students crossing over 20000 are all matter of pride and people have done quite good research on it.My purpose of taking the boy in photo is to represent the solid foundation of ancient below,the present and future all together in a single form.
